All in Ya Ear...

Everyone knows Jay-Z is my favorite rapper... for like, forever LOL! Everyone has been hating/talking shit about him because he's pushing 40, said he would retire like 5 years ago, and is still going. If you got the skills, why not? But of course, when you're that important and good, along comes the hate =). Anyways, I heard this song in the homies whip yesterday, and literally lost my ever-loving mind. When it comes to a song, the beat is the first thing that draws me in, then maybe I'll listen to the words the 2nd time. LOL! So, I'm dropping this song leaked off Hov's upcoming album, The Blueprint 3, called "Venus vs. Mars". And YOU tell me what you think, because I have no words for this. Tuhhh!

I must admit, you gotta give it up for Drake for having collabo's with Hip-Hop's biggest MC's and not even having his debut album out yet. He's like every new kid on the block's dream. However, I think this remix of "Forever" featuring Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Eminem is... just OK. Sue me. I'm not having the big eargasm that I expected to get. I really just think its okay and people are just hype about it because you got Weezy, Yeezy and Marshall on it. Maybe you guys can try to change my mind. =)

RIP DJ AM...

Most people don't even know who DJ AM is, or really don't care but since i'm big on everything concerning music, I had to show my respect. Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM was found dead on Friday August 28th. If you can remember just ONE year ago, DJ AM & Travis Barker was the house band at the 2008 VMA's. He was also with Travis in a plane crash back in December where two people were killed. The two survived and had a full recovery. However, this unfortunate thing happened. DJ AM was also a member of the rock band Crazy Town, who are known for their hit "Butterfly". Some say this is some Final Destination type stuff, and I can't help but agree. The cause of death isn't set in stone but it's most likely an accidental drug overdose. No comment on that. RIP DJ AM.

Mary J. Blige is back again guys, (yay... -_-) , JUST KIDDING! She's coming out with her ninth studio album titled Stronger. Here's the first single AND video, "The One" featuring Drake. I did post an All In Ya Ear... post about this couple months back and to my surprise, I was actually feeling this song. I was so through with Mary after "Just Fine". It was like "Okay Mary, we get it, Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, you're doing great, now go make a perfume". However, I'm letting her rock right now. I like the video. As you know, I'm a fan of different lights and having a vivid look. Drake looks kinda yummy. Notice I say his about every video he's in. Well, take a looksie!

Relations 101: Angry Over Vagina

Back in the day (high school), most girls were very quick to deny sex, or let a guy make those moves that they knew was gonna to a place that they didn't want it to go to. I know I always did. Guys call it "frontin'" but that's another topic. So, yeah, when us girls did that, these HS boys would get mad. I kinda understood why they did at my age. You're young, you wanna fuck everything in sight including me, and when you don't get what you want, your young self throws a tantrum. Understandable. However, I was shocked that now that I'm 20 years old of age, these guys that are older than me still behave in this 14 year old manner. Smh.

I didn't expect that behavior anymore because I thought when a girl doesn't give it up so easy, the guy would be more interested. Hell, he should be happy as hell, like "Damn, I like her more already! I aint get no pums!". I guess that's STILL not the case with some guys these days. On my part, I think a girl doesn't WANT to give it up, especially so early in a relationship (well, really a relations situation, or if you guys are just talking) because she actually LIKES the guy. Idk why this is blasphemy to guys. Trust me fellas, if she's attracted to you, she has thought about boning your brains out. That doesn't mean we're gonna act upon it immediately.

Maybe homegirl isn't ready to take it to that level yet, trying to save this little thing you guys have going on. You know how girls get when they have sex when someone they genuinely like. It really baffles me how guys get so mad when a girl doesn't have sex with them. Either they're really angry, or their hormones are. Either way, you should respect that girl's decision. Be mature about it. Yes, she might be teasing you and all this nonsense but most girls (unlike most guys) know how to shove all their hormones out the window when they don't feel like their actions is the right actions. Believe me guys, its way more than just trying to tease a guy, and all that. Because we are emotional creatures, we have to think way ahead of what's gonna happen after we decide to bone you. So, next time you think she's playing games, she can really be saving you a whole lot of trouble.

THROWBACK VIDEO! SUMMER EDITION!

So, as the summer is ending, we as young people always look back at how our summer went. Most people I know say that this is the worst summer they've had. I must admit, this summer wasn't as poppin as I expected. However, being the positive person I am =), I always manage to have fun with whatever I'm doing. So, my summer wasn't too shabby!

My Throwback Video's were Summer-Jam themed. They were the songs that stuck out to me during my lovely summers. Since this is my last one, I decided to end it off with the ultimate classic summer jam. It's The Fresh Prince & DJ Jazzy Jeff with "Summertime". You can't help but feel good about summer, or look forward to summer when you hear this song. So, as we say goodbye to the mediocre summer, let's just bask in this song, shall we?

In my opinion, KiD CuDi is not the greatest MC in the world. Half the time I really don't know wtf he's talking about. However, please believe I have a lot of his songs on my iTunes. Something about him really makes me just sit down and just listen to him, vibe out. Well, I have another song to add to that list. "That Girl" is a real laid back song. I fell in like when I heard it immediately. Honestly, it had me thinking mad hard about mad shit. Idk why, it just did. I don't think this will be on his debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, but I think it's album worthy. Now my loves, what do you think?

RIP Aaliyah...

It's hard to believe that 8 years ago, the untimely death of the talented Aaliyah happened. I really loved her as an artist. Not only was she beautiful BUT she had so much going for her career-wise. Yes, we all love Beyonce and her "fierce-ness". However, I vibed to Aaliyah's cool, calm and collective vibes, and her around-the-way attitude. She will be and is still missed. =(

So, my boy Day26 FINALLY got enough money to get a LEGIT video and it's fantastic. Here's the video for their 5th single, "So Good", off their 2nd album, Forever in a Day. Hunk of the Day...

The delay has been overdue but I finally got my Hunk of the Day. Omarion, Omarion, Omarion! We first seen this yummy man when he came on the scene with B2K. Every black preteen AND teen went CRAZZZZZZY over them. Although he wasn't my favorite, he was still a cute kid. The band broke up, and we all knew who was gonna go solo. He pulled a Beyonce and did his own thing with his first solo album titled O. He DEFINITELY was my favorite from then. Over the years, he's made a couple more albums, laid low, cut the hair AND signed to Young Money (then he asked to be released, wasn't dropped). So, be looking out for Mr. Grandberry very soon.

So, enough with the resume, time to talk about how fiiiine I think this kid is. I must admit, when he first cut his hair, I asked God why because his head was sucha eggplant shape. But I guess look grew on me, and I cant knock him for gettin' his grown man on. His face can be one of a cute kid, then funny guy, then right to sexytime *Borat voice*. I was hoping this was the next single. Before Drake hopped on it,"Digital Girl" was one of my favorite tracks from Jamie Foxx's album, Intuition, which also features The-Dream and Kanye West. The video is kinda reminiscent of Lloyd's video, "Girls All Around The World", featuring Lil Wayne. However, I must say that this one is better. You can't tell what kinda of American Apparel bathing suits they have =). Oh yeah, did you peep Jade from America's Next Top Model in the video? Yeah, make that money girl! Drizzy is looking real good in this video *tilts head*, hmph! Check it out!

I love Kanye West's song "Heartless". It can relate to soo many people. It was just a great song overall and one of the things about it is anyone can sing it, and it will still sounds good. I've heard many versions of this song, but now The Fray took a shot at it. I think they did an awesome job. The video is real creative as well. Take a look my loves!

Here is the well anticipated video from Jay-Z featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, "Run This Town". I must say they didn't disappoint. Hate to use this word but this is the most swagged out (yuck) video I've seen this year. No, I'm not riding Jay-Z's shlong because he's from Brooklyn, but he makes us look so well, wouldn't you agree? Rihanna convinces me in this video that she is indeed black. And Kanye is just... well, Kanye, with his big bro by his side. I loved this video, I really felt it. Now, hurry up and watch it before Youtube has its way!

Fabolous released a new video from his album, Loso's Way. "Money Goes, Honeys Stay" features Jay-Z, who is also in the video. I didn't know he was coming out with a vid for this. However, I like it. He got the Sasha Fierce thing going on with the black & white. Even tho this isn't Hov's song, I felt he brought some epicness (word?) to this video. He always does! Check it out.

It's crazy when a celebrity, a well-loved one at that, does something horrible and tries to move past it. It's even harder when you're young and getting ridiculed every second of the day. Chris Brown has definitely been laying low since that incident in February but i'm over it. That doesn't hide the talent that the kid has, that's all that matter, or all that should matter.

A new song from the singer was released this week entitled "Changed Man". I heard it today on the radio, and really listened to the words. Poor guy, people need to give him a break! Of course, everyone is saying how its about Rihanna and blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I like he song in total. It's NOT the first single off his upcoming album, Graffiti, but may be on it. Good song, check it out!

Little Miss Pretty-Girl-Next-Door Amerie will be featured in the latest issue of Elle Magazine, which are the first 3 shots. She looks gorge as usual. However, word is that her album got pushed back. That isn't bad because usually EVERY artist album gets pushed back at least once. Hopefully they won't shelve shorty. I really like Amerie. But I guess if your not spread eagle in front of your webcam or shaving off the side of your head, you're just not gonna get noticed =(.

Successful Video Shoot...?

It's the grindin'/come-up song of the year in my opinion, and the hottest R&B singer and hottest rapper out right now joined forces for the millionth time to make a video for it. Here's some pics of Drake's and Trey Songz's video shoot for their song "Successful". Hopefully this one won't be a flop. We all know what happened last time Drake was in a video... But, from the look of the pics, I think it will go swell with the song. Plus, the newer version of the song will include another verse by Trey. Hmph, interesting.
