Halloween Stories...

Ain't nothing like a good ol Halloween story and who better to tell it then Ghostface Killah? He gives me the giggles.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN GUYS! PARTY HARD & BE SAFE!

Speaking Out?

So, the whole Beanie Sigel & Jay-Z "beef" has been having everyone in a frenzy. After hearing Beanie's track, everyone has been waiting for Hov's response. And not surprising to me, it was really nothing. I told yall I just think Beanz was hurt, and aired out his feelings. But there's always 2 sides of the stories. #kanyeshrug, I been over it lol.

Now, supposedly Rihanna is gonna tell her side of the story on Good Morning America on Thursday 11/5 and 20/20 on Friday 11/6. Even with this promo vid, I feel like I'm being shammed. She hasn't said anything till now, I guess. We'll see.

RANDOM!

This is a must in your iTunes. Please & thanks. =)

NEW VIDEO!

YES! One of the best songs of 09 (in my opinion) finally has a video, and it came out just like I pictured it. Jay-Z & Alicia Keys finally released their video for "Empire State of Mind". As a New Yorker, it just feels good to even watch it. The black & white effect definitely makes me more epic. Check it!!!

All in Your Ear...

Well, this definitely caught me off guard tonight. DJ Kay Slay released a "diss" record from Beanie Sigel to his once friend, Jay-Z. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY HAD PROBLEMS! But peep game, I don't even see this as a diss record. I don't think Beanie violated Hov in any type of way. He simply is just airing shit out, shit that some of us ain't know about. And as a devoted Jay-Z fan, this record right here got me like =/ to Jay, like DAMN! I really feel a way, and I even feel sorry for Beanie. There's no doubt that he's a real nigga, and he really sounds hurt that things weren't the way they were maybe 10 years ago. However, at the same time, if he has love for Hov like he claims he does, then as man to man, friend to friend, they could of discussed this amongst themselves, no? But hey, all we can do is sit back and observe. Take a listen.

Can't hear it? Click here.

And if you can't hear that, sucks to be you.

Even though Alicia Keys 5th studio album, The Element of Freedom, was pushed back a weee bit, that is not stopping homegirl. Her potential 2nd single is "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart". I heard it on Hot 97 yesterday, and I really dug it. At first, it didn't sound like her voice-wise, but I caught myself tryna hum the melody without even really knowing it. Her album is sounding good so far!

Lip Gloss Poppin...

Ms. Teyana Taylor is very much a go-getter. I say this every time I blog about her. She can sing, dance and obviously keep herself busy and relevant with no hit record. She's got endorsements with Married to the Mob & Zshock, writing for big artists, been in a couple magazines. Now, she's coming out with her own new lip gloss line, DopeLips.com. I think that's a great idea since she has one great pair of juicy lips. Shoutouts to her for always being on her grind. Here's a lil expert from her interview with Egypt about her virginity that I found interesting:

"The one thing people can never say is that I’m a hoe. I have a purity ring. The only time you get in trouble is if you attempt to do something. If your laying up on a boy then something is going to happen. So I just keep my legs closed until I am ready for that. I can’t have a boyfriend because the only thing they want to do is have sex. I don’t want no fingers up there, no penis, nothing!!! Uh uh (shaking her head no)."

The Cypher...

So, I didn't watch the BET Hip Hop Awards last night but these two freestyle cypher's were worth watching. They included Nicki Minaj, Joe Budden, Mos Def, Black Thought & Eminem. In the first vid, Nicki murdered whoever was after her but then Joey came up to finish the job. I think Mos and Eminem did their thing in the lst vid, but you guys can be the judge! =)

Rated R...

If this is the OFFICIAL album cover of Rihanna's upcoming album, Rated R, I wish someone would tell me. This is like the 5th "official" album cover I've seen. Of course, it's looking real dark, and depressing. I don't mind but dang girl, can you have a evil smile or something? And holding your eye like you got punched??? (Oops!). Nevermind. Welp, whatever. I just hope the album is good.

Round The Way: Klassik

I had to show my mans, Klassik, some love. Hailing from the BX, he teamed up with Brooklynite, Ricky Blaze, for his song AND video "She Bad". Awww, aren't I proud of him! You cn also check out his website klassikbfg.com. Show some love guys!

Rosa Acosta X Complex

So, yeah idk much about Rosa Acosta besides that her stretching videos had niggas sprung. I Hope my male readers catch a glimpse of these pics. Rosa Acosta X Complex Mag? Yeah. Nuff said.

NEW VIDEOS!

OH FUCKING YES! JUST THE SHIT I NEED TO SEE! So, needless today, I peeped the "I Can Transform Ya" video with Chris Brown featuring Swizz Beatz and Lil Wayne. You guys should have seen my face. I was cheesing ear to ear. This is what I was waiting for. This guys is a GREAT entertainer, fuck all that drama shit. Doesn't he just look deelish? There's like a 3-sec cameo from Tyrese, don't know what he's doing in there but hey, he's a hunk. Is it safe to say that Breezy is back? Tuh.

Raheem Devaughn is definitely one of my favorite male singers in the game right now. He has a feel of an old soul. That's why I'm glad I looked at his video "Bulletproof" featuring Ludacris. It has a message that everyone should have open ears for. It's like a 2009 version of Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues". This is a must-hear AND see.

Common released his latest video for "Make My Day" featuring Cee-Lo. This is off his album, Universal Mind Control. This track is one of my favs from the album. The video is too cute. Check it.

Precious Covers The New York Times Magazine...

Gabourey Sidibe, the lead actress in the highly anticipated movie Precious, covers The New York Times Magazine. I can't wait to this movie. It's based off the novel Push, and will be released next month in limited theaters. Below pictured is director Lee Daniels, Monique, Paula Patton, and Mariah Carey, who are also in the movie.

All in Your Ear...

Although recently Lil Wayne was just was sentenced a year in prison, that doesn't seem to have him down in the dumps. His "Run This Town" freestyle has him sounding like the good ol Wayne we love, and hate to love. I must admit, he sounds like 07' Weezy, which is alright with me. How I miss thee! Check it out.

With his past behind him, Chris Brown is back on his hustle & grind again. He just released his latest video for his single "I Can Transform Ya" featuring Swizz Beatz & Lil Wayne. He now released another ballad-like single from his Graffiti album entitled "Crawl". I like it. It's kinda reminiscent of "No Air". Seems like Chris is just "crawling" his way back to the scene.

Soooo, I heard some cuts off of Amerie's latest album, In Love & War, and ehhh, I'm not too impressed. I love Amerie but she doesn't always move me with her music. However, she has this song with Fabolous named "More To Love". Now this song, I can vibe to. It has potential to be a single! But, we'll see how lucky she gets. Cute song tho! Check it.

Cutie of the Day: Denyce Lawton

This beauty name is Denyce Lawton and she might look familiar to most. You might have seen this gorgeous girls in music videos like 112's "Peaches & Cream", Nas' "One Mic", and Jaheim's "Anything". She's currently featured in the TV series Tyler Perry's House of Payne. Deynce is half African-American and half Korean. She kinda reminds me of Amerie (of course). And shorty got a body-ody-ody. Not too bad huh? Peep the non-modeling pics below.

CERTIFIED CUTIE!

Riri Roulette...

Word hit that Rihanna was coming back with a vengeance with her new album, The Wait Is Ova Rated R, and it's like everyone has been waiting for her. The first official single from her 4th studio album is "Russian Roulette". Most expected her to come out with a dance hit, but this song however is a dark ballad. Written by Ne-Yo and produced by Chuck Harmondy, when she said good girl gone bad, I guess she really meant it. I personally like the song very much, but I wonder if this will move people enough to go out and buy her album like "Umbrella". But Riri has cool fans, I'm sure they would buy it anyway. Her album hits stores November 23rd.

Below is some pics from the video which she shot in NYC earlier this week. It was directed by Anthony Mandler and will premiere on prime-time on ABC. Looks interesting. I can't wait. Guess the wait IS over indeed.
